In this episode, we are going to talk about Accelerated Product Creation (APC). APC is a method for creating products quickly without a lot of specialize tools or an army of people.

Who needs to create a product? Everyone!

Offline Business people needs to create Products to use for marketing to give to good customers, to attract new customers, to sell as an add-on to increase the profitability of your main product. Online Marketers need to create a product to sell online, to use a give-a-way, a gift for subscribing to your emails, or as an upsell or downsell for an existing product.

You can start as easy as creating an audio to promote your business or your product. You can record your audio by simply recording on your phone, your laptop or your desktop using a headset. You can then have your audio transcribed on Fiverr.com or a similar service. A lot of people out there offer transcribing services with really great accuracy. You can then use this text and upload it to your blog or use it as an article for an eBook, or even podcast like Business at the Speed of Sell. There’s a lot of things you can do with audio recording. The best way to get started is to just do it. Taking that first step is always the hardest. It gets easier from there.

So many people struggle in creating products, something they want to sell online or something that they want to use to promote their offline business.

They struggle because they say it’s really hard to sit down and conceptualize what a completed product might look like if you haven’t even begun to create the product –that it’s difficult “creating something out of nothing”.

I totally agree with that feeling but it doesn’t HAVE to be a struggle.  Today I’m going to share his process.

The Product Creation Process

Start with audio.

If you enjoy writing, that’s great and you can do that, but audio is definitely more efficient in this process.

You can do it via USB headphones (such as Logitech), use your laptop recording software, or even just your smartphone.

For Logitech USB headphones with mic, check out: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-ClearChat-Comfort-Headset-Black/dp/B000UXZQ42/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436669639&sr=8-1&keywords=logitech+headphones+with+microphone

Take the audio and have it transcribed.

You can find inexpensive transcription services at www.fiverr.com and keep reading to get my secret to high-volume, inexpensive transcription services at the end of this episode.

Once you get that transcription back as text, you can:

Turn it into articles that you can put on your blog site or articles that you send out in a newsletter or articles for a magazine.

Take those articles and turn them into topics for your podcast.

Compile and pick the best articles and turn them into an e-book.

Take the articles and turn them into an outline or a slide presentation that you can then turn into a video product or a webinar.

Then, take the audio, the video and the e-book and package them together.

You can make that package part of a membership website.

Implement and Refine

The most important part about creating a product is to just get started.

Build the first one and then see how to make it better.

When you first do an audio of your ideas, if you find that you just stumbled along and didn’t talk about anything important, you can delete it and try again and you’ve not wasted more than 5 or 10 minutes.

But, if you sit down to review it and find you have some great content in it, you probably have a product that you can develop.

This process is a merry go round.

If you start with an audio then have it transcribed and turn it into a presentation and then as a video, then that video has audio and transcriptions with it as well so that’s a refined version of the original.

Then, you take that and create the slides for your webinar. You do an extended version of your original presentation for your webinar, and then you have the audio, video and transcriptions from that webinar.

Now that’s a 2nd version of the same product.

After you do this a couple of times, you’re going to have a very high quality product without having had to sit down first and figure EVERYTHING out.

And, each time gives you an opportunity to refine it and improve it.
