Title:    Coaching Game Plan – Episode #60

Date:   June 21, 2015

Today, Anthony discusses his overall game plan for his coaching program to give you some some guidance and suggestions.

Why are you considering a coaching program?

Is it because you’ve heard it’s a great way to make money with the least amount of upfront effort?

It can be, but it can also consume every moment of every day if you don’t structure it correctly.

Is it because you feel you have no other skills but you’re a great teacher?

Just because you’re a great teacher doesn’t mean you’d make a great coach.

It’s very hard to help people with the details if you haven’t done them yourself repeatedly

Is it because you enjoy applying what you learn and teaching it to others?

This is probably the most successful way, to just be teaching people things you have already learned.

LAT=Learn Apply Teach.

For people to get the best value out of your coaching program, you need to be able to tell people ALL of the steps and specific details on what to do, what not to do, how to do it, what to invest in, what not to invest in.   You need to share everything with them from idea formulation to implementation.

What are Anthony’s goals for his coaching program?

What is the most valuable thing “I” can offer my clients?

It is the sum of his experience.

He has over 25 years of corporate sales and business marketing, over 10 years of internet marketing, has sold over $100 million in products and services and has created a significant variety of products.

What is his program going to look like?

“Everything Anthony”

He’s going to start at the top with a personal one-on-one live coaching and mentoring program.

It will offer almost unlimited access to him personally plus every product he’s ever created plus everything he will create in the future.  He will also provide access to freelancers and contractors he uses and endorsement of them with interviews and testimonials.

He’s offering this all-inclusive program because it’s something he would have wanted when he was starting out.

Someone to explain business strategies, someone to call and ask for help, someone to evaluate his business and look at his products, someone to shape ideas into sellable products and services, someone to help with technical issues like when putting together websites and payment processors.

He has spent thousands of dollars buying programs and thousands of hours searching for answers.  He just needed someone he could call.

How do you structure the program fees?

There are a lot of ways to structure and a lot of things to consider.

You have to consider that this is the highest-level product you’re going to sell, and what you’re going to spend the most amount of time working on.

You need to structure your rate to accomplish that goal.

However, if you’re just getting started coaching, it’s going to be harder to command a high fee.

So, how do you both?

Structure it to meet your goals.

For Anthony to meet his goals, he needs to have 10 to 12 clients paying $997 a month and that gets him to the income he needs to reflect that this is where he’s spending a majority of his time.

To kick it off and get started, he’s going to take that amount and discount it by 90% for the first 10 or 12 clients so he can get the first group going.

It’s not REALLY about the money right now.  He’s looking for people he can work with that have a desire to be successful.

In a few months to a year he does expect to be able to reach his goal.

Is there risk involved?

Yes, because he’s going to deliver 100% no matter what his client is paying.  At the beginning, there is a small risk of working more to achieve the same financial goals.  But, in the long run,  this is a small risk.

He could charge more at the beginning but he wants to work with people where he was at the beginning.  The first 10 or 12 clients will get the biggest benefit because he will be giving it his all even though they are paying a reduced introductory fee.

Is this the best coaching game plan?

For him it is.  It may not be slick or sexy, but it gives offers the best opportunity.
