If your using Facebook and trying to target a general audience this will not reap any promising results. You need to advertise startegically to a target market or audience, people with disposable income. People with disposable income are willing to spend. Looking in the demographics, people with higher educational attainment will have better positions in their work equating to better pay and (of course) disposable income. High net worth, high home value will also tell you that your target audience have more discretionary funds to spend to your product.
